Sackcloth & Ashes

Sackcloth & Ashes CEO Bob Dalton was inspired to help the homeless community when his mother found herself living on the streets in 2013. Inspired by her story, he started to call homeless shelters in his area to ask what they needed—they all said blankets. That’s when he founded Sackcloth & Ashes, a mission-driven company that donates a blanket to a homeless shelter for each blanket purchased.

How we helped

Meriwether Group Capital provided Hero Fund financing in the form of a capital loan to take advantage of growth opportunities and expansion, including the launch of their newest campaign Change Agents, a gifting program for professionals wanting to make a local impact.

The loan is the second transaction between Meriwether Group Capital and Sackcloth & Ashes, who entered into an original loan agreement in 2022 that was successfully completed and paid off earlier in 2023.
